Job Description At Sparklight, a Cable One brand, we keep our customers and associates connected to what matters most. As a Field Technician, you will install services, perform repairs, and relocate existing equipment in residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and commercial properties. Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot drops or outlets, diagnose performance issues, and resolve problems from the customer’s equipment to the first distribution amplifier. Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each termination on the customer’s premises. Suggest upgrades of existing services and educate customers on using their equipment. Support duties that align with the company mandate, purpose, and values. Qualifications Valid driver’s license in the state of application with an excellent driving record. Aptitude to learn RF, digital, and Volt‑Ohm meters. Flexibility to work overtime and on‑call as needed. Strong problem‑solving and positive customer‑communication skills. Must work in small, confined areas, lift up to 80lbs, use ladders, and work in all weather conditions. At least three months of customer service or related experience, or equivalent education/experience. High school diploma or GED required. Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.
