This position exists to provide Ink Jet Addressing in an economical means to the customers of the Central Mail unit of the Plant Management Division. In addition, this position provides assistance to other areas within the unit that includes operating inserting, meter and folding machines. This person will also serve as backup to our three interoffice drivers when they are out or on vacation. This position will provide backup data import and address list formatting in the absence of the Office Administrative Specialist Principal (OASP) in order to prepare the address files used for Ink Jet Addressing. Other job duties include:

• Ink-jet and tabbing machine setup — Prepare, configure, and adjust ink-jet and tabbing equipment, including print heads and USPS-compliant tabbing requirements.

• Operate addressing and mailing equipment — Run MCS ink-jet systems continuously, load materials, monitor quality, troubleshoot issues, and prepare presorted mail to USPS standards.

• Set up and run inserting, folding, and metering machines — Configure inserting stations, adjust mechanical components, resolve malfunctions, and perform route driving to ensure timely mail delivery.

• Manage data and generate USPS-required documentation — Import, manipulate, and format customer data for addressing; create templates and print programs; produce manifests, certifications, postage statements, and tray/sack tags.

• Maintain records, teamwork, safety, and workplace standards — Complete job tickets, track charges, maintain communication, follow safety/security policies, support coworkers, and uphold professional work habits.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.

• Basic computer knowledge to learn and operate necessary software.

• Data entry skills or experience sufficient to input data quickly and accurately.

• Ability to climb, bend, reach, carry, and push/pull, ability to transport up to 70 pounds.

• Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time.

• Ability to operate electric and manual pallet jacks, mailing machines, and other equipment necessary to perform job functions.

• Driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using BCC Mail Manager 2010 software.

• Experience with postalregulations,endorsements,automation guideline

• Experience with software applications such as Access,Excel,Word,FoxPro,dBase,Tab Unlimited, Paradox, ASCII, Field Text and others.

• Experience with mail processing using a metering machine or the use of a scale to weigh and verify the cost of mail.

• Knowledge of postal regulations, discount postal prices, required paperwork or data files to ensure mail acceptance by the USPS.

Physical Requirements

A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL (CRT TEST REQUIREMENT MINIMUM IS LIGHT-MEDIUM, EX: ABLE TO LIFT 13-21 LBS FREQUENTLY 100-300 REPS AN HOUR).
