Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

Description This contract, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment while working alongside a team of experienced professionals. As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and managing a diverse range of medical emergencies. This position is essential in ensuring that our patients receive timely and efficient care, impacting their health outcomes significantly. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients in emergency situations Perform necessary diagnostic procedures and interventions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and detailed medical records Provide immediate care in life-threatening situations Consult with specialists as needed for complex cases Educate patients and their families on medical conditions and treatments Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training programs Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Licensure in the state of Florida Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage high-pressure situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) A minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine (preferred) Flexible Schedule: Day, night, or weekend shifts No call requirement Shifts available at both the hospital and free-standing EDs Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses A-rated malpractice coverage #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
