Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide high-quality care to patients of all ages, including adults, pediatrics, and newborns in a birthing center setting. The role involves offering respiratory therapy treatments and assessments, ensuring patient-centered care, and maintaining operational standards within the department.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vitals and responses to treatment.
• Work independently to deliver care in emergent situations.
• Utilize various advanced respiratory equipment and technologies.
• Collaborate with medical teams to enhance patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with at least five years of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
• Experience with Fisher & Paykel Airvo 2, Respironics V60, Drager Evita Infinity V500, Getinge Servo-s, and Hamilton T1 ventilators is preferred.
