Prep Cook Position
Dialog Café – Sunrose is looking for a strong PM Prep Cook to support our afternoon production team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and takes pride in consistent food preparation, organization, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen. You'll be responsible for executing daily prep, including hash brown and fry production, portioning, preparing dressings and sauces, storing prep items, and ensuring the kitchen is properly organized and set up for the next day.
Position: Prep Cook
Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 3:00 PM–9:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.87 to $21, depending on experience
What You'll Do:
- Ensure consistent execution, quality, and production of all prep items
- Follow recipes and use proper portioning tools to maintain consistency and standards
- Support fellow prep cooks with cleaning and organizing stations at the end of the shift
- Maintain FIFO practices and proper labeling and storage
- Complete daily prep checklist
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked prep area
- Communicate with the kitchen team regarding prep needs and inventory
- Help ensure the kitchen is set up for a successful following service
What We're Looking For:
- Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Experience with knife skills and proper cutting techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and food safety standards
- Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Reliable and punctual
- Available to work Friday through Sunday, 3:00 PM–9:00 PM
