Chemist / Lab Technician

Lab Technician Pay: $25 - $29/hour Duration: 1 year Responsibilities Perform testing following SOP, QC, ASTM or similar related test method/procedures Operate analytical equipment or devices (ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID, HPLC, etc.) Review data for quality trends and proper reports Utilize Microsoft Office and digital platforms (LIMS) Maintain proper housekeeping (5S) and safety Check e-mails for questions Follow quality procedures for log and other record keeping Qualifications 1 year of demonstrated laboratory experience Computer literate in Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols Ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field Experience working in an analytical laboratory desired Able to work in teams and in a fast-paced environment; skills with ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID & HPLC desired What to look for Basic degree in chemistry or in sciences with relevant professional lab experience is required 1 year of demonstrated laboratory experience (working in an analytical laboratory strongly preferred) Skills with ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID & HPLC (any or all of these) Lab notebooks/LIMS and Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint (document experimental and test data) Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols Experience performing testing following QC, ASTM or similar related test method/procedures preferred What will set someone apart: experience working with adhesives, bonding materials, paints, or coatings #J-18808-Ljbffr
