Aircraft Quality Inspector

Location: Tucson, Arizona

STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Aircraft Quality Inspectors in Tucson, Arizona. This is a critical position responsible for ensuring all aircraft maintenance meets the highest regulatory and safety standards. If you're a licensed A&P professional with CRJ airframe expertise and a strong background in inspections under FAR 145, 121, or 135-or in military environments-this role offers long-term stability and industry-respected experience.

• Perform detailed aircraft inspections in compliance with FAR 145, 121, 135, or equivalent military standards
  
• Conduct inspections on commercial and/or military aircraft, with a focus on CRJ airframes
  
• Apply knowledge of MRO and heavy maintenance operations to ensure quality and compliance
  
• Use and interpret a wide range of precision measurement instruments and calibrated tooling
  
• Read and interpret engineering documents, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
  
• Evaluate tolerances and part specifications using specialized gauges and measurement devices
  
• Understand the aircraft part fabrication process and support quality oversight of fabrication activities
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of all inspections and findings
  
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, regarding maintenance actions
  
• Participate in rotating 12-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  

• Minimum 3 years of inspection experience in aircraft maintenance under FAR 145, 121, 135, or military equivalent
  
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required
  
• CRJ airframe experience is required
  
• MRO and heavy maintenance background required
  
• Proven ability to use and interpret precision measuring tools and specialty inspection equipment
  
• Must be able to pass vision and hearing tests
  
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts with rotating schedules
