The Research Scientist 3 supports the Bureau of Program Research and Evaluation which is responsible for developing and maintaining a systematic research-based approach to evaluating OMH programs and initiatives. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:• Oversee and conduct planning and coordination with other stakeholders including federal and state agencies, other states, external researchers, providers and OMH oversight• Oversee quantitative and qualitative data collection and quality assurance protocols for evaluation purposes including coordination with personnel from CCBHC program sites and CCBHC program oversight, technical assistance and stakeholders.• Design and implement analytic strategies using quantitative statistical and qualitative methodology.• Conduct qualitative analyses and written reporting.• Conduct quantitative analyses using SAS.• Design and implement data flows and visualizations using Tableau.• Prepare and present evaluation findings to program stakeholders.• Prepare reports, research papers, reviews and summaries for program and external stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications : This is a full-time, non-competitive position. The minimum qualifications for appointment to a Research Scientist 3 position are a bachelor’s degree and four years of professional research experience in an appropriate field OR a master’s degree and three years of professional research experience in an appropriate field. A Ph.D. in an appropriate field may substitute for an additional year of experience. Appropriate fields include Biostatistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related social science field.
