Based in Seattle, with locations in NYC and Maryland, we help companies deliver their brand worldwide through creative, print, and fulfillment services.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Digital Bindery Operator operates finishing equipment to complete jobs coming off our digital printers. This includes paper cutters, folding machines, perfect binders, and stitchers. The ideal candidate will have prior bindery experience, a solid understanding of print production, and a commitment to producing high-quality work efficiently.If you’re passionate about print finishing and take pride in precision and craftsmanship, we encourage you to apply!BENEFITSPaid Time OffMedical, Dental, VisionLife/AD&D Insurance401(k) with matchingAccident InsuranceFSA, HSA9 Paid HolidaysMonthly Cookie Days!RESPONSIBILITIESOperate bindery machinery and equipment with consideration for timeliness, quality, and client needs.Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements and measure workpiece dimensions to determine the accuracy of machine operation.Set stop or guide to specific length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.Detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, remove defective products from workpieces, and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.Ensure that assembly practices comply with established policies and procedures.Troubleshoot assembly problems and report findings to the department manager.Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.Perform related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSAt least one (1) year of experience with bindery equipment.Knowledge of print production and bindery/finishing processes.May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.ESSENTIAL ABILITIESTechnical CapacityCustomer/Client FocusStrong Problem Solving/Analytical SkillsStrong Communication SkillsInitiativeReliabilityPersonal EffectivenessLearning OrientationTeamwork OrientationFlexibilityPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.May be required to frequently lift up to 30 lbsHand dexterity and strength.Flexibility in work hours may be required.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position predominantly works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
