Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient pediatric clinic with a strong focus on aquatic therapy for orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting focused on PT Pediatrics
• Adult ortho/neuro focused caseload with 50% aquatic therapy sessions
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program required
• Current Alaska PT license or eligibility for licensure required, if applicable
• Experience or strong interest in aquatic therapy strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, especially with children and families

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on aquatic-based therapy for orthopedic, neurological, and functional rehabilitation needs
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ability to create fun, engaging therapy sessions while maintaining therapeutic goals is valued
