Linux System Administrator
Linux System Administrator hybrid role with a well-established proprietary trading firm in downtown Chicago with a collaborative/team environment. Great growth potential and excellent benefits and perks.
What You'll Do:
- Optimizing system stability and performance on critical Linux trading systems
- Researching and implementing new systems that improve our visibility into our deployed software and infrastructure
- Maintaining and monitoring servers environments, virtual machines, storage and other associated hardware components
- Troubleshooting and providing support with managed systems and tools
What We're Looking For:
- Experience building and maintaining Linux OS Environments (CentOS, Debian)
- Experience writing Python and Bash scripts to troubleshoot and automate server issues
- Experience with configurations tools (Ansible, Puppet) Preferred Additional Skills
- Knowledge of Git tools
- Experience working on hardware servers
- 3 to 5 years of financial industry experience
Qualifications:
- Experience building and maintaining Linux OS Environments (CentOS, Debian)
- Experience writing Python and Bash scripts to troubleshoot and automate server issues
- Experience with configurations tools (Ansible, Puppet) Preferred Additional Skills
- Knowledge of Git tools
- Experience working on hardware servers
- Must be COVID19 Vaccinated.
