Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Surgical Preparation : Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and specialized equipment to prepare the operating room according to the procedure.
• Assisting During Surgery : Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons, maintain a sterile environment, and anticipate team needs in real-time.
• Equipment Management : Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly before and during procedures; assist with troubleshooting and proper handling.
• Patient Safety & Sterility : Uphold strict aseptic techniques and infection control practices to protect patient safety and surgical outcomes.
• Post-Surgical Duties : Support clean-up of the operating room and prepare surgical tools for sterilization and reprocessing.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA (or eligible and willing to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Skills & Experience :
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
  • Solid understanding of surgical tools, protocols, and techniques
  • Experience in a surgical setting preferred, though new grads are welcome
