Public Health Nurse

Job Duties Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services (DVHHS) currently has a full time opening for a Public Health Nurse or Registered Nurse. The Public Health Nurse or Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care to assess physical, emotional and medical needs of families, carries out established plans of care, updates records, completes documentation of care, assists families in achieving goals, coordinates with school personnel and refers family health clients to community resources. Duties also include providing client/family assessments, teaching and coordination, screening, monitoring for complications and assisting families/clients to recognize early signs of disease and deviations from normal health. Minimum Education Required Minimum qualifications of education and experience for this position: This position requires either a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in nursing, and a current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Minnesota. A valid driver’s license is also required.
