Travel RN- Operating Room - $2,385 per week

TNAA TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN - OR for a 13‑week assignment in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We're looking for Operating Room RNs with 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, and/or RN first assistant. The role requires assistance to physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, providing pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians and medical staff during surgery. Provide basic bedside care and administer medication. Serve as communication liaison between patients’ families and the operating team. Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient. Initiate patient education plans and teach home‑care needs. Additional Duties by Role Circulating OR Nurses: respond to patient comfort and safety needs; accurate specimen handling; monitor equipment; inventory surgical items. Scrub OR Nurses: select and handle instruments and supplies; inventory surgical items. RN First Assistant: assist in surgical care, control bleeding, suturing after surgery. Physical requirements: stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 20–50 pounds, and tolerate exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases. Requirements ACLS BLS 2+ years experience Additional certifications may be required before assignment. Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend. Job ID #1426123.
