Azure Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Server Management: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot both on-premises and cloud-based server environments with a focus on Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

Azure & Entra ID: Manage and support Azure services including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking. Utilize Entra ID for identity and access management across hybrid environments.

Active Directory: Maintain AD services including user accounts, group policies, permissions, and trusts.

Backup & Disaster Recovery: Support and administer Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS) strategies.

Collaboration Tools: Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Office applications and MS Teams.

Data Migration: Execute migration from legacy server environments to modern destinations (e.g., MS Teams, SMB/CIFS shares).

Networking: Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and related infrastructure.

Monitoring & Performance: Implement monitoring tools, scripting, and alerting to ensure uptime and system reliability.

Documentation: Maintain infrastructure documentation and provide performance/status reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Server Engineer or similar role

Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure (VMs, Azure AD, infrastructure services)

Hands-on experience with Entra ID in hybrid environments

Solid background in Active Directory administration (GPOs, DNS, permissions)

Experience with Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS)

Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)

Experience supporting Microsoft Office / MS Teams environments

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of South Bend, IN.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
