Physical Therapist Assistant

Inpatient rehabilitation services are provided for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The rehab facility is designed to promote recuperation outside the traditional hospital setting. Unique features include low stimulation areas, secured units with monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, and dedicated therapy gyms. Gymnasiums feature high-tech therapy devices and treatments to assist patients in relearning skills for daily living. There are special apartments for patients and families to practice daily living tasks. Rooms are private and family-friendly with sleeper chairs. An outdoor healing garden and walking trail are available to support rehabilitation. The facility typically accommodates a specific number of patients per therapist. Common diagnoses and treatments involve patients with CVA, amputations, and orthopedic issues. Preferred experience includes orthopedic and neuro rehabilitation.
