Job Summary: We seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Fed Digital Print Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain high-speed digital sheet-fed printing equipment in a fast-paced direct mail and marketing production environment.

The Sheet Fed Digital Print Operator is responsible for setting up and operating digital sheet-fed presses, producing high-quality printed materials, performing quality inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining production schedules. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven production environment.

Schedules:

• 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
• 3rd shift: Monday - Friday, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor high-speed sheet-fed digital printing equipment .
• Review job tickets, work orders, and production specifications to ensure accurate job setup.
• Prepare paper stock and load sheets into the press according to job specifications.
• Load and monitor ink, toner, and other required consumables.
• Perform press make-ready and adjust equipment settings to achieve optimal print quality.
• Conduct quality checks throughout production runs, including color consistency, registration, image quality, paper alignment, and variable data accuracy.
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain productivity and quality.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic equipment and print-quality issues.
• Escalate mechanical or technical issues when additional maintenance support is required.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance according to manufacturer and company guidelines.
• Monitor job queues and production schedules to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate production counts, waste records, and other required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and operating procedures.
• Assist with cross-training and operation of other production equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience operating digital sheet-fed printing equipment preferred, but not required.
• Experience operating Ricoh, Canon, HP, or Oce production equipment is a plus.
• Experience with digital print production, commercial printing, or direct mail is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to identify print-quality issues and make appropriate adjustments.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital printing workflows.
