We are seeking a motivated Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support materials synthesis, characterization, and battery testing while contributing to the scale-up of materials from laboratory development to manufacturing. You will work closely with senior process engineers and cross-functional teams to execute experiments, analyze results, and support production trials at manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Synthesize materials using equipment such as bead mills, spray dryers, and furnaces, including supporting routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Characterize material properties using techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and surface area analysis
• Fabricate electrodes and assemble batteries to evaluate material performance
• Maintain clear and organized experimental records in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and perform preliminary data analysis
• Support the development of technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols to enable consistent and repeatable engineering workflows
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other cross-functional partners to support production trials and troubleshoot process issues at manufacturing sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field
• Experience working in laboratory, pilot-scale, or manufacturing environments
• Hands-on experience with analytical characterization techniques
• Ability to document experimental procedures, observations, and results clearly and concisely
• Proficiency in analyzing, processing, and plotting experimental data
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 10% to support manufacturing trials

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of battery cathode material synthesis and processing, including wet milling, spray drying, and calcination
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in a fast-paced pilot-scale or manufacturing environment
• Experience collaborating with plant QA/QC teams to support product quality and manufacturing consistency
• Familiarity with plant process engineering principles and statistical process control (SPC)
• Experience supporting process scale-up or technology transfer from laboratory to pilot or production environments
