Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Perform triage assessments and determine the severity of patient conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR.
Adhere to protocols and guidelines in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

Must possess valid ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
Two years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
Candidate must have worked in a facility with a minimum of 45,600 annual visits (approximately 125 patients per day) in the past eight months.
Experience with EKG rhythm interpretation is essential; candidates must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least an 80% score overall and a 100% score on lethal rhythms.
Previous travel nursing experience is required.
Floating within skill set is required, along with the flexibility to work every other weekend and holiday.

Additional Requirements

Flu vaccination is mandatory for all employees.
Candidates must have triage experience.

Work Schedule

This position offers a night shift schedule, working 3 shifts of 12 hours each week.
