Details Work in the Neonatal ICU caring for infants, children, and adolescents Patient population includes critically ill newborns, pre-term infants, and ELBW (extremely low birth weight) infants Provides pre and post op care for critically ill newborns, including those with trachs Uses assisted ventilation equipment including high frequency JET and Oscillator ventilators, conventional vents, and non-invasive methods such as bubble CPAP, RAM cannula, and HFNC 12-hour shifts on a .9 FTE schedule with Day/Evening/Night rotations Required to work every other weekend No on-call responsibilities May be asked to float between neonatal units within the campus based on staffing needs, but will not be required to move between campuses mid-shift Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Active MN RN license or MN Temporary Permit-RN Current BLS and NRP certifications Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required Experience caring for infants requiring assisted ventilation, including high frequency and conventional ventilators, and non-invasive respiratory support Experience with pre and post op care of critically ill newborns, including those with trachs Experience caring for pre-term and ELBW infants Strong knowledge of developmental care required Additional Information Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members American Traveler Job ID P-743987.
