Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders across all age groups in a clinical setting. Schedule Start Date: 07/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hour shifts) Shift Pattern: 8‑hour days Employment Type: Travel Location Facility in Lawrence, Massachusetts Required Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology. Experience in Speech Language Pathology; new graduates are welcome. Other certifications or licenses applicable to the position. Summary of Responsibilities The SLP evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. They develop and implement individualized therapy plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide education to patients and families. The role requires maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring infection control, participating in quality assurance, and engaging in professional development. Essential Work Functions Utilize standardized assessments and observations to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings and patient goals. Continuously assess progress, adjust plans, and maintain detailed EMR documentation. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and safe swallowing practices. Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English. Follow verbal and written instructions; proficient in PC skills. Physical abilities: stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push/pull, bend. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with professional and ancillary personnel. Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use equipment. Mental requirements: handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work occasionally under close supervision, manage irregular schedules, maintain concentration on detail.
