Job Description
This position promotes efficient operation of existing electrical and control systems. It supports daily production operations through troubleshooting and continuous improvement of operational software and control systems. The role involves working closely with maintenance personnel and facility and corporate engineering teams to develop and implement improvement projects.
Responsibilities

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with HMI programming.
• Understanding of logic circuits and pneumatics.
• Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience with PLC controls and logic circuits.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Controls/Automation Technician in a food manufacturing facility, manufacturing facility, or custom machine build company.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc systems is beneficial.
• Experience in continuous improvement processes.

Work Environment
The work environment varies, with some areas being dry and temperature-controlled, while others are wet and humid depending on the product being processed. This is a food production facility requiring controlled conditions, including wearing a hair net, beard net, and boot coverings. The team consists of one controls technician per shift, working closely with the maintenance team. The production lines focus on canning foods.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

The plant shutdown varies each year based on when the holidays fall but it is always Christmas Eve through New Year's Day is our shutdown time. For the medical premiums the cost does drop for the following year if they do the biometric screen in October at our on-site wellness fair. That information is listed on page 13 in the benefit guide. There is a wellness program that employees can earn anywhere from $75-$150 based on how many points they earn throughout the year and is paid out to them early January of the following year.
