Aircraft Mechanic II [Sheetmetal]Specialty: Airframe / Sheetmetal / StructuresLocation: 366th MXG Mountain Home AFB, ID Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite Clearance: SECRET | CAC requiredSupports aircraft maintenance, equipment installation, and modification functions on F-15E aircraft in accordance with the Air Force technical directives, applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.Mid-level aircraft mechanic supporting F-15E aircraft, performing maintenance and modification operations.Essential FunctionsPerform F-15E airframe, sheet metal, and structural maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modificationsPerform aircraft structural modification and installation tasks in accordance with applicable technical dataDocument maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systemsEnsure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs.Perform other duties as assignedDutiesAircraft maintenance, modification, inspection, and repairPerform sheet metal and structural removal, installation, fitting, drilling, fastening, and repair as required by applicable technical dataTechnical Directive/TCTO compliance and modificationsSupport Equipment (SE) operation and inspectionsInterpret technical manuals, technical orders, drawings, and directivesTroubleshoot and repair applicable aircraft structural systems and componentsDocument maintenance actions in accordance with applicable Air Force requirementsQualificationsAircraft Mechanic II shall have a minimum of 6 years total experience in aircraft maintenance support with two years on F-15 aircraft as a sheet metal mechanicNormal color vision as defined in AFI 48-123, Medical Examinations and Standards is mandatory for this specialtyMust be able to work, day, swing or mid shift as requiredSECRET clearance requiredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems.
