PRN Medical Assistant

This is a PRN (As Needed) position that involves travel to our Austin area clinic locations, based on the needs of the business. Job Details Welcomes patients by greeting them in person. Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room; helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment. Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment. Performs Patient Exams For Multiple Tests To Include Spirometry (PFT) (training provided). Fundus photos (training provided). ANS/Sudo testing (equipment driven, training provided). Neural testing (training provided). Performs basic vitals and height weight. Ensures appropriate and accurate documentation in the patient's medical record. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; and verifying receipts. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations. Excellent time management skills are necessary. Great communication skills are helpful. Keeps patient care information confidential. Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. Schedule PRN - As Needed - Day shift. Hours vary anywhere form from 7:30am-6pm.
