Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient infusion team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in infusion treatments and demonstrate proficiency in chemotherapy administration.

Shift Details

Schedule: 4 shifts of 9 hours each
Shift Times: 07:30 AM - 04:30 PM or 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Weekend Coverage: Every other full weekend from 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Qualifications

The candidate must have a valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certifications required: BLS, ONS.
Minimum of 2 years of outpatient infusion experience is required.
Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Access and manage ports for chemotherapy administration.
Handle body fluids post-chemotherapy while adhering to safety precautions.
Care for central lines and implanted devices.
Monitor patients during chemotherapy and recognize/manage side effects.
Communicate and document abnormal lab values effectively.
Ensure compliance with health safety protocols, including isolation precautions and PPE usage.

Unit Information

This position involves working within a dynamic outpatient infusion center that emphasizes interdisciplinary support and quality patient care.

Additional Information

Orientation and training will be provided.
Modules will be completed during orientation and require about 1-5 hours of time.
Compliance with onboarding procedures is mandatory.
