Counseling Student Clinical Supervisor Location: San Antonio, TX Regular/Temporary: Temporary Job ID: 15459 Full/Part Time: Part Time Position Information Salary Range: $29.29/hour. Job Type: Part Time (5-10 hours per week) Job Summary The Counseling Student Clinical Supervisor clinically supervises and assesses counseling students during their practicum/internship semester. This role is responsible for clinical supervision, including monitoring, assessing and evaluating student counselors. This is a temporary position with an expected end date of 8/15/2026. This position may be extended or shortened based on availability of funds and/or departmental need. Core Responsibilities Clinically supervises student counselors. Assesses student counselor case conceptualization and counseling skills. Weekly interaction (i.e., an average of one (1) hour per week of individual and/or triadic supervision) with student counselors to provide feedback and guidance. Evaluates student counselor program-appropriate audio and/or video tapes of the student's interactions with clients. Meets with cooperating site supervisors. Grades and reviews student progress. Coordinates with course instructor and/or Clinical Assistant Professor/Director of Community Family Life Center. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master's in Counseling or a related field. Three (3) years of related work experience. This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Counseling Program's expectations, requirements, and evaluation procedures for students. Counseling clients who represent the surrounding community. Working Conditions Office Environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. After hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis. Occasionally after hours and weekend work or overtime may be required. Physical Demands Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. This position will work primarily on UT San Antonio Downtown campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable.
