JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of HVAC duct systems, supports, and related equipment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1+ years of experience in HVAC duct installation, preferably in an industrial environment

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

OSHA 10 or 30 safety certification or willingness to obtain one. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations. Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of different piping systems and materials

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong understanding of ductwork and HVAC systems, materials, and industrial standards. Layout, assemble, install, and maintain HVAC duct systems, supports, and related equipment. Use various tools and equipment, both sheet metal hand and power tools as well as arial work platforms. Assemble sheet metal duct sections together in accordance with shop drawings. Fabricate pipe spools and components as per project requirements using various welding and fitting techniques. Diagnose and repair faults in duct systems, including leaks, blockages, or pressure issues. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to plan the layout of ductwork systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards. Test duct systems for leaks using air pressure tests and complete all documentation. Ensure all work meets quality standards and industry codes (SMACNA). Work closely with other trades like welders, plumbers, and electricians to coordinate work on projects. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coordinators, and project managers regarding project status, material needs, and any issues encountered. Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines.
