Mechanical Engineer

Job Title

Machine & Automation Design: Lead the design and assembly of custom machinery and packaging equipment using SolidWorks.

Robotics Programming: Develop and implement robotic solutions, with a strong emphasis on FANUC and Universal Robotics platforms.

End-to-End Project Execution: Follow through on projects beyond design—ensure machines are assembled correctly, tested thoroughly, and optimized for performance.

Testing & Troubleshooting: Participate in backend testing to validate machine functionality and resolve issues.

Customer Interaction: Interface with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design.

Proficiency in SolidWorks and robotic programming (FANUC and Universal) preferred.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and anticipate project needs.

Strong follow-through from design to build and test phases.

Prior experience in customer-facing roles is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29/hr.
