Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

Up to $26 per hour
Monday-Friday | No Nights | No Weekends

Immediate Opportunity - Fast-Growing Family Medicine Practice

Nextaff is partnering with a new, rapidly expanding family medicine practice in Sarasota seeking a BXMO-certified Medical Assistant with strong phlebotomy skills. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a modern, patient-focused clinic offering long-term growth and stability.

? Position Overview

The Medical Assistant will support both clinical and diagnostic functions, including patient intake, phlebotomy, and X-ray procedures, while delivering a high-quality patient experience.

? Key Responsibilities

Perform patient rooming, vitals, and intake documentation
Conduct phlebotomy (venipuncture) and specimen handling
Perform X-ray imaging (BXMO required) in compliance with Florida regulations
Accurately update and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Assist providers with exams and basic clinical procedures
Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared
Deliver professional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

BXMO Certification in State of Florida (Required)
Minimum 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience in family medicine, primary care, or urgent care settings
Phlebotomy experience required
Strong experience with EMR systems and documentation
Medical Assistant certification preferred (not required)
Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills
