Quality Engineer

Quality Control EngineerOur client is a leading, long-established manufacturer within the steel and heavy industrial space, supporting key industries including automotive, construction, and packaging. They are currently investing heavily in one of their largest facilities, expanding operations and building out new production capabilities while continuing to grow their quality and engineering teams.Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Identify and address quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and production processes.Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain quality assurance.Maintain and manage quality documentation and reports.Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures.Work with suppliers to ensure materials meet quality requirements.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering and manufacturing department.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)Experience within steel or heavy industrial manufacturing environmentsStrong understanding of quality systems, with exposure to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 preferredProven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive process improvementsHands-on experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiativesAbility to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with operations and engineering teamsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, in a plant environmentSelf-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven settingSalary typically between $70K-$90K depending on experienceFull benefits package (medical, dental, vision)401k with ~6% company matchPTO starting at 2 weeks, increasing to 3 week
