Your future role at a glance Location: Mequon, WI Facility: Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Department/Specialty: Emergency Department Schedule: Night Shift | Full-time How you'll make an impact in this role Lead the assigned clinical specialty unit by directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support associates to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care and achieve clinical objectives. Optimize patient flow and resource allocation by independently assessing daily care needs and distributing assignments that match patient acuity with staff competency, guaranteeing safe, population-appropriate care across specialties like Cardiovascular, Critical Care, and Emergency. Manage complex patient and physician dynamics, setting critical priorities and serving as the primary point of resolution for patient care concerns to maintain a stable, professional, and patient-first care environment. Support unit efficiency and operational readiness by ensuring the immediate availability of all necessary materials, resources, and supplies, allowing the entire team to focus fully on clinical care delivery. Contribute to the future strength of the team by providing essential input on the hiring, training, and professional development of nursing and support staff. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experiencerequired.
