Position Summary The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items with consistency, speed, and attention to quality. This role is critical to kitchen operations and requires strong organization, discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, standards, and plating guidelines Set up and stock assigned station before service (mise en place) Maintain consistency, portion control, and presentation standards Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with health regulations Keep station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout shift Communicate effectively with chefs and team members during service Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing deliveries Minimize waste and follow proper food storage procedures (FIFO) Report equipment issues, inventory shortages, or food quality concerns Support team members and assist other stations as needed Qualifications Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Strong attention to detail and consistency Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment Ability to follow instructions and standardized recipes Food Handler Certification (required or must obtain within required timeframe) Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in hot, fast‑paced kitchen environment Schedule & Availability Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays Flexible schedule based on business needs Megobari Group, LLC welcomes all qualified applicants who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
