Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private, nonprofit multi-service agency providing help and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect. Our goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been impacted by trauma in its various forms, such as family conflict; social, economic, and life challenges; and mental health issues. Location: Main Building, New Britain, CT, US Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually About the Role Research prospective donors, initiate contact, build and maintain donor relationships Support fundraising and donor engagement Develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with organizational goals Solicit funds in accordance with annual development goals Maintain appropriate and accurate records Provide support and assistance to the Vice President of Development in development and public relations activities Duties and Responsibilities Assist and participate in planning and executing annual fundraising campaigns Track campaign performance and generate reports Support donor cultivation and stewardship strategies Research prospective donors, initiate contact, build and maintain donor relationships, solicit funds according to donor interests and annual development goals Assist in the preparation and dissemination of public relations materials, including brochures, newsletters and annual reports to community, foundations, corporations, businesses, churches, and community organizations Represent the agency before public and private group functions to present and enhance activities, philosophies, and goals Contribute to assigned donor records, ensure data accuracy, and maintain confidentiality and security of all records in the Development Office Promote effective branding of the organization internally and externally Contribute to preparation and dissemination of selected materials to foundations, businesses, congregations, facilities, agencies, and professionals Assist the Development Committee (DECOM) of the Board of Trustees, as assigned Provide additional support services as appropriate or requested Competencies 5 years’ experience in fundraising, public relations or related experience Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with fundraising best practices Event planning experience Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Team-oriented with a proactive attitude Benefits Flexible schedule / Hybrid remote 13 Paid Holidays 3 weeks Paid time off to start Tuition Reimbursement Opportunities Access to company gym Access to discounts (concerts, hotel/card rentals, groceries, etc) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Employee assistance program Health savings account Life insurance AD&D Insurance 401(k) 401(k) matching Rx Advocates access Parental leave Reduced Meals Referral program Schedule Monday to Friday with some weekend availability. 40 hours per week.
