Platform/DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Platform/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS DevOps and Python scripting. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure and automating deployment processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a team to enhance our platform's reliability and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Utilize Python scripting to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and enhancements.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Document processes, configurations, and workflows for future reference.
• Participate in on call rotations to support production systems.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.).
• Expertise in Python scripting for automation and system integration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, etc.).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Experience with database management and optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Certifications in AWS (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills quickly.
