Job Title: Sr. HR Generalist
Location: San Jose, CA 95110 (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 9 months with possible extension
Pay Range: $30.00/hr. to $35.21/hr. on W2
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card only
Job Description:
- This is a temporary contract assignment providing casework coverage, with a primary focus on maintaining continuity and case quality throughout the engagement.

- As a Senior HR Generalist in a client-facing role, you'll be a go-to resource for complex case types including organizational changes, leave, and accommodation support-playing a key role in delivering clarity, care, and confidence to employees when they need it most.
- You'll collaborate with peers across the Employee Resource Center (ERC), our leave vendor, and Employee Relations partners to resolve employee requests, manage HR cases, and drive improvements that expand how we deliver scalable, high-quality support.

- Provide consultation and guidance to all levels of the organization on sensitive work-related issues, such as organization changes, accommodations, and leave-related policies
- Triage and respond to questions from our internal HR teams to collaborate on cases, assess options, and provide risk assessments
- Lead the intake, triage, and resolution of complex HR inquiries with speed and empathy, aligning cross-functional resources to connect impacted individuals to the right support
- Leverage case management systems to address employee needs with care and efficiency-using reporting and insights to identify trends and inform strategies that strengthen our business
- Partner with various collaborators as needed (Legal, Security, Employee Relations, HRBPs, etc.); demonstrate the capacity to communicate efficiently at all levels
- Foster continuous team enablement by providing compelling updates on process and policy changes-equipping colleagues with the clarity and self-assurance to excel
- Influence and contribute to process improvements that drive business scalability
- Bring insight to and collaborate on projects that drive impact across the organization
- Proven HR expertise with specialized knowledge in complex HR topics such as organizational changes, leave of absence programs, and interactive accommodation processes, ensuring employees receive support with care, compliance, and confidence
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities for complex cases, with an understanding of the need to be both compassionate and firm to navigate various business challenges
- Manages a full caseload independently with accuracy and consistency meeting SLA timelines and maintaining audit-ready documentation from the start of the assignment
- Strong communication skills, including written and oral communication
- Applies existing tools and workflows effectively, and flags process gaps or improvement ideas to the team as they arise
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions with confidence delivering results in fast-paced environments and meeting deadlines, time constraints, and SLAs
- Ability to build trust and apply judgment to make decisions on cases and partner concerns
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; 8+ years of HR experience preferred
