Donor Communications Specialist

$28.21 - $30.77 per hour

Nashville Public Radio

Description At the Worcester Art Museum, donor and member communications do more than share updates—they help people understand why the Museum’s work matters, feel connected to its mission, and see themselves as part of its future. The Donor Communications Specialist will bring that work to life through clear, thoughtful, donor-centered storytelling that strengthens relationships with members, donors, and community supporters. This role is a strong fit for a thoughtful writer who can turn ideas, information, and institutional priorities into meaningful communications while staying organized across many moving pieces. Across newsletters, appeals, invitations, presentations, web content, and other member and donor-facing materials, the Donor Communications Specialist will help manage the shared communications calendar, coordinate timelines and approvals, gather input from colleagues, and move projects smoothly from idea to final delivery. A strong candidate will be a collaborative communicator who can balance focused writing time with frequent coordination across teams. Working closely with colleagues in Marketing, Communications, and Development, they will draft and revise a range of communications, from brief updates to more developed stories and presentations, seek clarity when needed, follow up on details, incorporate feedback, track deadlines, and help ensure each communication is delivered on time, in the right voice, and with a clear sense of purpose. This is an opportunity for a developing communications professional to grow in nonprofit and philanthropic storytelling while contributing to a cultural institution that serves Central Massachusetts and beyond.
