Welder - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Welder - 2nd Shift to join our team in Jackson, MI! The core hours are 4 pm - 12:30 am, Monday - Friday. The hourly rate for this position is $34.52 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This Jackson, MI facility is a unionized location. There is a 5-month probationary period that involves monthly evaluations, after which you will be considered a union member and begin paying union dues. What you’ll do: Tig Welding Titanium, Aluminum, Inconel, Stainless Steel and Carbon materials ranging in thickness from 0.020\" to 0.120\" and O.D.'s from 0.188\" - 2.00\" Inspection of parts using fixtures, gages, and other inspection equipment. Using blueprints to accurately create welds. Active involvement in creating a safe workspace and following safety best practices. Work on cross functional Lean/Continuous Improvement Teams to improve manufacturing process efficiency and customer quality and delivery performance. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Certification in Welding from an accredited institution OR a minimum of 1 year of (GTAW) TIG Welding experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Miller Dynasty Power Supply preferred. Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and WPS/PQR instructions preferred.
