Overview:Schedule: Full-Time, 2pm-10 pm, weekend and holiday rotation, benefits eligibleValid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.Job Description Summary:Provides transport and support for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the Department of Laboratory Medicine and their clients. Drives NCH provided vehicles for courier routes, with exception to those positions defined in NCH courier procedures.Job Description:Essential Functions:Maintains schedule to complete routine and on-demand routes daily.Handles pick-ups and deliveries from lab, pharmacy, homecare, referring hospitals, clinics, physician offices and outpatient centers. Documents all route information and pick-ups per department guidelines.Evaluates and monitors weather conditions throughout shift to preplan for anticipated trips and delays throughout region.Maintains safety of cargo and vehicle in accordance with hospital guidelines.Assists in training of new staff and documents their progress per department guidelines.Provides customer service in an efficient and effective manner to ensure customer satisfaction and quality patient care.Education Requirement:High School Diploma or equivalent, required.Licensure Requirement:Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements.
