From picking and loading the correct merchandise to ensuring on time arrival and product setup, our supply chain team ensures that the final step of the Mattress Firm shopping experience goes smoothly. When you work in our warehouses, you'll play a vital part in helping people sleep well so they live well every day.Essential Responsibilities:Load and unload products from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.Stage deliveries.Store all products in designated locations.Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork.Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash and cleaning the parking lot and entrance to the building.Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.Mop, sweep, and wash offices, bathrooms, warehouse floors, truck docks, and aisles to ensure cleanliness.Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal areas, and recycling materials.Clean and sanitize products per Company standard operating procedure.Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.Warehouse EnvironmentPhysical Demands:Lift or move +100 poundsSitting frequentlyStanding frequentlyWalking frequentlyTalking frequentlyHearing frequentlyUsage of hands and fingersReaching with hands and armsStooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionallySight is required to ensure the safety of yourself and others.Non-Essential Responsibilities:Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by the supervisor.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.Education:High School diploma or equivalent preferredProfessional Experience:1+ Years of general warehouse experience preferredSkills List:Strong communication skills.Ability to pay close attention to detail.Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure completion of work.Knowledge:General warehouse operationsKnowledge of the equipment and function of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspectionBenefits Included:Excellent career growth opportunities through on-the-job training and development programs401(k) with employer matchingMental health and life resourcesMedical, dental, prescription, and vision plansGet paid on-demandBase pay or uncapped commissionEmployee discounts on Mattress Firm sleep products and accessoriesCompensation:Competitive pay range of $21-$22.50 hourly.* Actual pay is based on documented and verified relevant work experience and does not guarantee employment for any specific period.
