US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations.

Responsibilities

As part of the Service Center West Operations Team, you'll be charged with maintaining service availability levels for multiple servers located in main data centers and remote locations across the globe. Responsibilities include:

• Managing the functionality, efficiency, and security of infrastructure providing critical services to customers across the globe in the air, on land, and at sea.
• Applying DISA STIG settings and patching OS/applications as required.
• Provisioning elevated and service accounts.
• Creating and maintaining system documentation.
• Mentoring and learning from other team members.
• May perform supervisory duties.
• Interacting with end users as required and evaluating vendor products.
• Making recommendations to alter architecture of software and hardware to adapt to emerging technologies.
• Developing policies and standards for performing complex builds and everyday tasks.
• May write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks.
• May develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
• Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and learning new technologies as assigned.
• May be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide.
• May be required to perform duties outside of normal day shift hours.
• The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
• People manager for small team. Manages work load of team.
• Participate in special projects as required.

Required Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

• 5+ years of experience is required.
• Bachelor's Degree (may substitute additional years of experience)
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
• Experience Windows infrastructure services (DHCP, DNS. Authentication, Active Directory, and connectivity troubleshooting) required.
• Understanding of Agile, ITIL, DevOps practices.
• Experience with infrastructure including but not limited to data center operations, server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web servers, databases, virtualization (VMware), networking, storage, monitoring, etc.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• May be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
• Must meet DoW 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
• Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Mastery of the PowerShell scripting language.
• Experience automating and configuring systems using Desired State Configuration (DSC).
• Horizon View/VDI
• SQL
• SCSM and/or ServiceNow
• SCCM/MS Endpoint Manager
• MCSE, MCSA, MCITP: EA
• VMWare Certification(s)

The likely salary range for this position is $124,093 - $135,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
