The Operations Manager for the Equipment Division oversees the Equipment Division Office Administration Staff and the Equipment Buyers staff which are responsible for the Purchasing of commodities and services for the Department, and directly supervises the Buyer IV position and the Accountant Tech II position which serves as Office Manager, and works closely with State Purchasing to ensure policies and procedures are followed. In addition, the Operations Manager is involved in writing Equipment Specifications and serves on the Equipment Specification Committee. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Equipment Superintended and fills that role in the absence of the Superintendent and is familiar with Equipment Division's Policies and Procedures pertaining to Equipment Repair Shop and Stockroom operations and maintenance of the Fleet. APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE*** To see full Class Specifications visit: To Qualify: In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements: Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, engineering, or closely related field and two years of professional experience which included responsibility for planning, organizing and directing the operations of a major highway equipment repair facility or multiple facilities; developing operating procedures; reviewing specifications for bids; budget development; and supervision; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; OR two years as a Highway Equipment Mechanic Supervisor II in Nevada state service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
