Sales Representative

Job Summary: As a sales representative within a freight brokerage company the sales representative must be able to act as a liaison between shippers and carriers. Negotiating the arrangement of freight and timely transportation of those goods with qualified carriers is essential to the success of this role. Cold calling and building relationships with current and new customers and building relationships with carriers are keys to success. As a sales representative you will be required to negotiate both last-minute/spot market rates and contracted rates with your customers. Additional essential duties are included below but are not limited to these duties Customer-oriented Multitasking in a fast-paced environment Generates leads from lead generators and through online research Generate shipping quotes as part of the negotiation process Sell and book loads with qualified carriers Build loads in the company TMS system Maintain a system for tracking quotes from previous loads Qualifications: To Preform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
