Senior Vice President of Human Resources Location: Arizona Position Overview We are partnering with a large, multi-location retail organization seeking a Senior Vice President of Human Resources to lead its enterprise-wide people strategy. This executive will partner closely with senior leadership to strengthen organizational performance, develop talent, improve employee engagement, and build scalable HR programs across corporate and field operations. The ideal candidate has led human resources within a complex retail organization supporting a large, geographically dispersed workforce. This individual must be equally comfortable developing long-term strategy and remaining closely connected to day-to-day business needs. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the company's overall human resources strategy in alignment with business objectives and long-term growth plans Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and leadership effectiveness Lead all major HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, learning and development, HR operations, and compliance Build scalable programs that support employees across corporate offices and a large network of retail locations Strengthen leadership development, succession planning, and internal career-pathing across the organization Partner with field leadership to improve employee retention, engagement, productivity, and overall workforce performance Evaluate and enhance HR systems, policies, reporting, and operating processes Use workforce analytics and business data to identify trends, measure results, and guide decision-making Lead organizational change initiatives while maintaining strong communication and alignment throughout the company Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing human resources leadership team Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all operating markets Promote a consistent culture and employee experience across a geographically dispersed organization Qualifications 12+ years of progressive human resources leadership experience, including experience at the Vice President or Senior Vice President level Significant experience supporting a multi-location retail organization with a large frontline and hourly workforce Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise-level people strategies Strong background in organizational development, talent management, employee relations, succession planning, and leadership development Experience leading HR through periods of growth, transformation, or organizational change Demonstrated success partnering directly with C-suite executives and senior field leaders Strong understanding of workforce analytics, labor planning, compensation, compliance, and HR technology Business-minded leadership approach with the ability to connect people initiatives to operational and financial performance Ability to balance strategic leadership with a hands-on, execution-focused approach Based in or willing to relocate to the Phoenix area Ability to travel as needed This is an opportunity to lead the people strategy for a prominent retail organization with a broad operational footprint.
