Adjunct College Laboratory Technician – Biological Sciences Job Title: Adjunct College Laboratory Technician GENERAL DUTIES Set up, maintain, and organize student laboratories Assist students with setting up experiments, learning exercises, and with the use of equipment and materials Maintain appropriate safety and hygiene standards Maintain required documentation related to laboratory activities Manage equipment and materials inventories. CONTRACT TITLE Adjunct College Laboratory Technician FLSA Non-exempt CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION The Adjunct College Laboratory Technician (CLT) will report directly to the Department's Full-Time College Laboratory Technician (CLTs). Duties include: Helping prepare and set up laboratories for instructors. Cleaning of glassware and other items as needed. Receiving and properly storing deliveries. Helping full time CLTs with inventory. Evening/Weekend hours will be required. Adjunct CLTs are allowed a maximum of 225 hours per semester. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience. COMPENSATION $34.20 - $49.41 per hour; salary commensurate with education and experience.
