Staff Accountant

Position Overview:

Valley Corp is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to support a dual role in daily accounting operations and front office functions. This position plays an important role in accounts payable, accounts receivable, trucking invoice support, customer billing, and reception/scale operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and is comfortable supporting both accounting and operational office needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

• Monitor AP email inbox and route invoices to the appropriate project manager
• Enter invoices into Sage 100 Contractor accurately and timely
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors
• Request invoices and statements from vendors as needed
• Assist with invoice selection and payment processing
• Prepare and mail vendor payments
• Monitor vendor payment portals for invoice activity and payments, and distribute information to the appropriate team members

Trucking Support

• Code corresponding invoices
• Verify billing amounts align with established pricing

Accounts Receivable

• Review deposits and cash receipts
• Process customer billing
• Apply customer payments accurately

Reception / Scale Support

• Greet customers, vendors, and employees
• Answer and transfer phone calls
• Manage scale operations and complete transactions efficiently
