We're excited to provide the best education in the best environment to our students!Academies of Math and Science - PowerSpeech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)Location: 6633 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 8503Compensation: $42,000 – $52,000 annually (DOE)Start Date: Summer 2026Schedule: Full-Time, On-SitePosition OverviewAcademies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.AMS is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at the AMS CamelbackThe SLPA works under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to support students with speech and language needs, helping to implement services aligned with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role collaborates with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication development and academic success.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, collaborative, and student-focused professional committed to helping all students reach their full potential.Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support & Service DeliverySupport the implementation of speech and language services in accordance with student IEPs under the supervision of a licensed SLP.Assist with screenings and observations for students with speech and language needs.Implement therapy activities and lesson plans aligned with student goals.Monitor and document student progress and communicate updates to the supervising SLP.Instructional SupportPrepare materials and support instruction aligned with IEP goals in collaboration with classroom teachers and the supervising SLP.Reinforce communication strategies and interventions within the classroom setting.Support students in developing speech, language, and communication skills.Collaboration & CommunicationCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and the supervising SLP to support student success.Serve as a resource to staff and families regarding speech and language support strategies.Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support planning.Compliance & DocumentationMaintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.Support compliance with IEP requirements and state/federal guidelines.Assist with preparation of required reports and documentation as directed by the supervising SLP.Qualifications & CompetenciesRequiredBachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related fieldValid Arizona licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) through:Arizona Department of Education (ADE), orArizona Department of Health Services (DHS)Ability to obtain and maintain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance CardMinimum of 1 year of experience working in a school or pediatric settingStrong communication, organization, and documentation skillsPreferredExperience working in a K–8 school settingExperience supporting students in Title I or underserved communitiesExperience working with IEPs and multidisciplinary teamsSkills & AttributesStrong attention to detail and ability to follow supervision and directionAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasksCollaborative, team-oriented mindsetPatient, compassionate, and student-centered approachProfessional communication and interpersonal skillsCompensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.Competitive salary based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer contributionsPaid time off (PTO)Disability and life insurancePerformance bonusesOngoing professional development and training opportunitiesWhy Join AMSMission-driven work supporting underserved communitiesSupportive and collaborative school cultureOpportunities for career growth and advancement within a growing networkMeaningful role making a direct impact on student communication and successJoin us to enjoy rewarding challenges and ongoing opportunities! #J-18808-Ljbffr
