Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems.RVS is seeking a Process Engineer with a background in supporting Vacuum Dewar Fabrication. This position will focus on processes and techniques required to support the manufacture of Infrared Vacuum Dewars specifically in Wirebond and Precision Alignment. The selected candidate will work with a team of Technicians, Product Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Equipment Engineers in an ISO Class 5 Clean Room setting.The position will also include managing process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increase, throughput, and safety improvements. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing material in WIP, certifying operators and hands on processing testing and failure analysis. The candidate should have familiarity with some or all these processes: Vacuum Processing, Leak Check, Plating, Photolithography, and Metrology.What You Will DoWill use chemicals, metrology, inspection microscope, alignment and bonding equipment in a cleanroom environment.Handling chemical safety data and follow and advise on safety protocols including the use of Personal Protective Equipment.Developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders.Working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE/ANOVA).Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.Experience in Process, Chemical and/or Manufacturing Engineering.Qualifications We PreferExperience with Precision Alignment, Wire bond, Vacuum Life, Leak Check, Plating, Photolithography, and Metrology.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or schematics.Good mechanical aptitude and chemical handling ability.
