Data Center Cabling TechnicianWe are seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Cabling Technician to support structured cabling and physical layer infrastructure within a high-performance data center environment in Abeline, TX. This role is heavily focused on fiber and copper installations, cable management, and ensuring clean, efficient, and scalable connectivity across the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, route, and secure fiber optic and copper cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, SM/MM fiber)Perform rack and stack support with an emphasis on proper cable routing and managementTerminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber (LC, SC, MPO/MTP) and copper connectionsRead and interpret cable run lists, floor plans, and network diagramsLabel cables and ports according to data center standards and maintain accurate documentationPerform cable tracing, auditing, and cleanup to maintain organized pathwaysUse testing equipment such as OTDR, power meters, and cable certifiersSupport build-outs, expansions, and decommissioning projectsEnsure proper use of ladder racks, trays, and patch panelsFollow strict TIA/EIA and BICSI standards for structured cablingAdhere to all safety protocols, including working at heights and in confined spaces
