Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join our team in Chesapeake, VA.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 11am - 7:30pm and Rotating WeekendsJob Responsibilities:Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickupsComplete daily pick up schedule in a timely mannerDeliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shiftHandle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient mannerSafely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic lawsUtilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks upWork directly with the dispatcher for additional pick-ups as neededEvaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as neededMinimum Qualifications:No education or experience requiredPreferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED or equivalent1 year or more of driver or courier experience1 year or more of customer service experienceAdditional Job Standards:Very punctual with strong time management skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to problem solve customer issuesAble to lift up to 50 lbs.Valid Driver's License and clean driving recordBe at least 21 years' oldIn this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $125 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use.Pay Range: $17.75-$25.69All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
