Qualifications:

• Certified CVOR Tech or equivalent credential required
• Prior experience working in cardiovascular operating room settings preferred
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols
• Ability to work effectively alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff
• Demonstrated skills in preparing, maintaining, and operating surgical equipment related to cardiovascular procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to anticipate the needs of the surgical team
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Commitment to patient safety and adherence to all infection control policies

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room and ensure all required equipment and supplies are sterile and available
• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures, passing instruments and providing needed supplies promptly
• Maintain surgical field sterility, manage specimens, and accurately document intraoperative details
• Monitor inventory of surgical instruments and coordinate with central supply for reprocessing
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and procedural protocols at all times
• Participate actively in pre-operative and post-operative processes, including room setup and clean-up
